Dear Parents & Guardians, The School District of Newberry County will host its annual pre-participation physical exam on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Mid-Carolina High School. This physical is required for student-athletes participating in sports after May 1, 2025, and will cover the 2025-2026 school year. Important Details: • Time: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM • Cost: $25 • Forms: Must be completed, signed, and submitted to Coach Meetze before arrival. Forms can be picked up at the main office. • Attire: Athletes should wear sports-appropriate clothing (shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes). • Deadline: Turn in paperwork and payment to Coach Meetze by April 24, 2025. If an athlete is not cleared, a follow-up form with further instructions will be provided. All paperwork will be stored and later returned to the school’s athletic staff. Parents, right before spring break, Beta Club Sponsors handed out letters to potential inductees for this year. Students were to take the letter home and bring back a parent signature if they want to participate in Beta Club. If you have any questions about whether your child qualified, or about the signature page, please call the school or email cdixon@sdnc.org or lframpton@sdnc.org. Induction of new members will take place on May 7th.
