2026 Graduation Practice & Graduation Updates/Reminders:
Graduation practice will be held at 8:30 AM on Thursday, May 21, in the Mid-Carolina High School Gym. It is mandatory that all graduating Seniors and Junior Marshalls be present for practice. Each Senior will receive 3 passes that will allow a total of 15 guests to attend the ceremony at Lon Armstrong Stadium (football field). Each pass will allow a total of 5 guests to enter. In the event that we have inclement weather, each Senior will receive passes for 6 guests to attend the graduation ceremony in the Mid-Carolina High School gym and 3 guests to view the ceremony from the overflow area in the Mid-Carolina High School cafeteria. Graduation passes will be given to Seniors directly after practice on May 21. Also, the MCHS yearbook sponsor will take an official class of 2026 picture at 8:30 AM. Seniors, please bring your cap & tassel, gown, and MC sash to practice and please be on time!!!
The MCHS Graduation Ceremony will be held on May 22 at 8:00 AM at Lon Armstrong Football Stadium. All Seniors and Junior Marshalls are to meet in the Mid-Carolina Middle School Gym no later than 7:00 AM on May 22. Graduating Seniors and Junior Marshalls will park in the bus parking lot located behind the MC softball field on the Mid-Carolina Middle School campus. Pass holders and guests will be allowed to enter the football stadium at 6:30 AM. The entrance gate will be locked at 7:45 AM. No one will be allowed to enter the stadium after that time so please be on time.
Important Traffic & Weather Precautionary Notice
Parking will be limited, and traffic may cause delays for attendees. To limit the amount of traffic on May 22, attendees are asked to carpool to reduce the number of vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot at the Mid-Carolina Middle School campus.
As we look forward to celebrating the incredible Class of 2026, we are closely monitoring the weather. Presently, there is a chance of rain in the forecast for Friday, May 22 during our scheduled graduation time.
While we are all hoping for beautiful skies to host our ceremony outdoors, we want to ensure everyone is prepared just in case we need to transition to our indoor plan in the Mid-Carolina High School Gym. We completely understand that moving indoors would be an inconvenience and would layout a tough restriction on guest attendance. Because of limited space, an indoor ceremony requires us to reduce the number of attendees from 15 guests down to 6 guests in the gym, with an additional 3 guests able to view from the overflow area.
We kindly advise all parents, guardians, and graduates to chat ahead of time and have a family plan in place just in case inclement weather variables require us to make this adjustment. We appreciate your flexibility, and support as we work together to make this a beautiful and memorable day for our seniors!

The 2026 MCHS Graduation Ceremony Will Be Broadcast Live Again This Year - The NCSD will broadcast graduation on YouTube so that individuals who do not have tickets can watch graduation live from any location with internet access. After graduation, the video will be saved to YouTube so our graduates, family, and friends can view at their convenience. Please remember that graduation is a live event. Due to this event being streamed in real time there is the potential for complications to occur during the broadcast.
